Stitch by Stitch | This is described as a 'ladylike pink' and I would have to agree. It's a very smooth, pretty pink that leans more on the blue side but still has some warmth to it.

Style in Excess | An 'opulent icy slategrey' - this one is an incredibly subtle and muted grey-ish lavender. Perfect for just a little bit of colour, but not too bold.

Zip Me Up | This one is a 'slinky satin mint' with slight iridescence and gold micro glitter suspended. I wasn't a huge fan of this one just because it looks kind of chalky and is more muted of a mint than I would like.

On the List | This is a 'tangerine coral' that is not neon but is for sure a bright one. I like it, but I'm not super wowed by it. I think it'd look better on my toes.

Caviar Bar | The best for last, this is my favourite from the shades that I was sent. I really love blues and this is no different. This navy creme is especially shiny and smooth, making it really luxe.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the formulation of the Gel Couture line and would like to try some more shades from the collection. I've always complained about Essie being watery so the thicker formulation (comparable to OPI's regular creme formula) is a great change. Anything that says 'no lamp gel' and 'longer wear time' is a keeper for me, just because I hate chipped nails, but have very limited time nowadays.

Everything was pretty opaque in 2 coats, except for On the List and Zip Me Up. The rounded brush is something I'm not too fond of as it reminds me of the Sally Hansen Insta Dry brushes -- fat and hard to use, but I survived and didn't get too much pooling. I do think the bottle itself is beautiful and the twisted brush is a nice little touch. 42 Gel Couture polishes are available now in stores for $13.99CAD. Although a bit pricey, I would definitely invest in one or two of your favourite shades because they are a lot shinier and longer lasting even without the gel topcoat!
