Today I've got all 18 shades from OPI's Starlight collection to share with you. These polishes will dazzle up any outfit for all your New Year's Eve needs. Loving the wide range of shades in this collection!
Love Is In My Cards | This is a more orange-toned red opaque creme. Be careful with this one -- it stains almost instantly!
Ro-Man-ce on the Moon | This is a gorgeous metallic red with just enough shine and vibrancy for the holidays.
Guys & Galaxies | This is a maroon-brown creme with a jelly-like finish. Formulation wasn't superb, but the colour is really rich and beautiful.
I'm in the Moon for Love | I don't normally like medium purples, but this one is really nice and opaque. Just a tiny touch of shimmer and pink undertone. It reminds me of Louvre Me Louvre Me Not.
Cosmo With a Twist | This is one of my favourites from this collection because it's a dynamic black-navy glitter that almost leans purple in the light. The glitter is very visible and the shine is great. Formulation was a little thicker, but forgiving.
Give Me Space | And here is my second favourite from the collection -- a royal blue glitter jelly. This is the most unique blue glitter I've seen in a while.
Centre of the You-niverse | This kind of glitter is similar to Cosmo with a Twist. This time, it's a black creme base with gunmetal and silver micro glitter suspended throughout.
Super Star Status | This is a silver and gold glitter combination. It dries matte and is most definitely a topcoat eater! Not sure I like this against my skin but it is very sparkly.
I Drive a SuperNova | This is described as a sterling silver. It is more on the blue side and doesn't streak much, making this a pretty ordinary silver metallic.
By the Light of the Moon | Of the entire collection this one is the least favourable to me. I really don't understand the muted silver glitter chunks suspended in metallic silver. It's like putting Super Star Status underneath of I Drive a SuperNova... no point in my opinion.
Comet Closer | This is a pale, muted gold metallic that dries to a textured almost crackled finish. I don't like the finish... but it's a pleasant gold shade. I don't know if you can see the texture here, but if you give it enough time, it almost looks like crinkled gold ribbon that you would see during Christmas.
Is This Star Taken? | This is yet another one of those glitter under muted metallic that I am not really a fan of. It is pretty much the same shade as Comet Closer with some holo bar glitter suspended throughout.
Infrared-y to Glow | Now we're getting to the good stuff. I really liked this glitter because the strange chevron shaped chunks in coordinating pink and gold glitter made it easy to layer. A little bit of glitter placement is required, but one coat is going to leave your nails looking fab.
Let Your Love Shine | A winner in my books, this is a sparkly cranberry shade that looks amazing on any skintone. I really enjoyed this one!!
Ce-less-tial is More | This is a light champagne pink dense glitter that looks super shiny in person, but it does dry matte and requires a lot of topcoat. I do think this would be great for New Years even just on it's own.
Press * for Silver | This is a rose/mauve coloured metallic that I'm fairly drawn to, despite it being a bit on the streaky and thin side. I like how it's a very subdued pinkish shade.
Two Wrongs Don't Make a Meteorite | This is the same kind of glitter with the addition of gunmetal-y purple diamond glitter. Once again, this looks really cool over greys and purples.
No More Mr. Night Sky | This is a shimmery purplish grey that was on the thin side and required 3 coats to achieve this opacity. I was honestly expecting more from this one, but the colour is pretty neat so I'm more forgiving. Plus, I love me a good flakie shimmer!
