Who needs bling? Just give me some Infinite Shine.
When OPI first came out with their Infinite Shine collection, I was thoroughly impressed with the formulation and extremely glossy finish -- very true to their name. I was hungry for more Infinite Shine goodness and was lucky enough to receive their 12 latest shades for Summer 2015.
I realize that I am a little slow to the take with getting these swatches up, but believe me when I say I had good reason for the delay. It is every nail blogger's worst nightmare to break a nail halfway down the nail bed, ESPECIALLY on their swatching hand. After the incident happened, I tried patching it as best as I could, but that finger was bandaged up for a solid two weeks. Slowly, but surely, the nail started to grow, but it took a while before it matched the others in length.
Post-trauma, I am here today with the first half of OPI's Infinite Shine Collection for Summer 2015. All swatches were done with 3 thin coats for maximum opacity, but with the thicker Infinite Shine formulation, 2 coats will do the trick.
Purpletual Motion | A high-gloss vivid purple creme that goes on like a dream and reminds me of grape soda and purple nerds candy. This really is the truest purple creme I've ever seen.
Lavendurable | This is a really pretty light lavender creme that is so subtle you could miss the tinge of purple. It makes for a really nice, opaque pastel.
Follow Your Bliss | Perhaps one of my favourites from the collection, this is a bubblegum pink creme with just enough blue-tones in it to look great with my skintone. It is the quintessential 'cute' pink that would look amazing on toes as well.
Patience Pays Off | I've seen better light pinks but at least this one is very opaque and shiny. Although, I did have more trouble with application since it got a tad streaky if the brush was put down too heavily. It really does take some patience applying this one smoothly!
You're Blushing Again | Another one of my favourites, this is a peachy, warm-toned neutral that almost mimics my natural skin. I am a sucker for peach-based neutrals because they just look so much better on my hands than white/cool-toned neutrals. Yay for this neutral creme goodness! I wore this to work for the past week and had minimal wear as well.
Silver On Ice | I'm not really a fan of streaky metallics like this but it is a nice muted silver if you're not into major bling. Personally, I would opt for a flakie or glitter instead of these flat metallics.
These six polishes were the warm shades of the collection. Stay tuned for the second, cool-toned half of the Infinite Shine Collection for Summer 2015!
