OPI Hawaii Spring/Summer 2015 - Swatches & Review

Description of Photo

It may seem a little far-fetched to be talking about sunshine and beaches when caught in the dead of winter. Every time I look outside I get a little more depressed and have to brace myself before I step foot outside -- I presume my fellow Canadian readers would agree.

As hard as it is to believe, spring is around the corner and once again OPI is on the ball with their upcoming SS15 collection. Today I have some very tropical shades from the Hawaii collection to share!

Aloha From Hawaii | This is your quintessential summertime coral-red creme. I love this one because it's bright and fun but not blindingly neon. This one looks and feels very creamy upon application and took 2 coats to achieve opacity.

This Color's Making Waves | This is a very pretty turquoise blue-green shimmer with tiny gold micro glitter. It has a slight duochrome, but the bottle looks darker than on the nail. It almost has a muted vibrancy to it... if that makes any sense at all. The formulation on this was a bit thinner as expected with frosty polishes, so it took 3 coats to achieve opacity.

Hello Hawaii Ya? | I was really excited about this shade because it reminded me of Parlez-Vous OPI from the France collection. This one is a tad darker and slightly more blue-toned, which is perfect for my skin tone. Parlez-Vous OPI is a little more on the rosy spectrum of mauve-y purples. It was a little surprising seeing this one in the collection because it is a dusty, muted creme rather than your typical vibrant, summer shade. 2 coats was all it took for this beauty to be opaque.

 - Good formulation

 - Not wow worthy shades
