What I love about fall is the ability to transition into the cold weather by mixing dark, rich hues with light layers. My colour palette lately has been all about the neutrals ranging from grey to tan to off-white. Before the start of the semester, I went down to the Bow River in Calgary with a good friend to capture this fall-inspired look. Oscar is an amazing photographer and I encourage you to take a look at his VSCO profile and Instagram (@odonor).
Trench coats are one of my favourite outerwear pieces for their timeless class and flowing silhouette. Worn open or tied, the trench coat is practical for the cooler fall days. Even better if it's made of water-resistant material. Of course, to own one of Burberry's classic trenches would be a dream come true.. but for the more cost-conscious fashionista, I found this trench from Zara for a very reasonable price. Not only do I love how the fabric flows, but the leopard print lining just adds unique detailing. What on earth would we do without Zara?
