Nicole by OPI Seize the Summer - Swatches & Review

Hey guys! Today I have swatches of Nicole by OPI's new summer collection called Seize the Summer. There are only 4 shades in the collection, but I must say that each one is gorgeous. These are the perfect colours for the sunnier days of summer without going fully neon.

Nicole by OPI has been pretty impressive lately with their collections. I also would like to mention that their formulation has improved significantly since when I first started using their polishes. They are still a little more runny than OPI (I don't think anything will beat OPI) but they're getting progressively better with each collection!

Leapink for Joy | This is a beautiful coral-y bright pink creme that was opaque in 2 coats. I love how this one is bright enough to be a fun summer colour without going completely neon pink.

The Coral of the Story | Now this one was a bugger to photograph! My camera had a hard time capturing the coral tone of this. It's a very nice creme and is as bright as you can get without being neon. I would love this on toes for summertime, I think it's the perfect coral-y red shade. This was also opaque in 2 coats.

Lay it on the Lime | My favourite of the collection - this lime green creme that is subdued enough to wear on its own without looking completely neon. I like how this one is more pastel than other lime greens. It reminds me of a lighter and brighter celery colour. This was opaque in 2 coats but was a little streakier than the others.

Shaved Nice | Let's talk about the name of this one first... I had some difficulty figuring out why it was called Shaved Nice instead of just Shaved Ice. This was sort of a name fail but otherwise it's a pretty unique polish. I'm not a huge fan of how rough it is but I think some topcoat would smooth it out. This is made up of tiny silver glitter and then chunky glitter in purple, pink and teal. I think it'd look better on top of a creme instead of alone. This was 2 coats on bare nails.

 - gorgeous creme shades
 - good, consistent formulation

 - strange names
 - glitter could be better

What are your favourite shades to wear for summer? I am loving this Nicole by OPI collection so much, I think I'll be wearing these ones a lot!
